A challenge to Drilon

With the YouTube video exposes I have published during the last few days, I believe there is very little doubt left in the minds of the Filipino people that the Drilon-led Liberal Party syndicate ravaged the public treasury of half a billion pesos in just one project: the Iloilo Convention Center.

Five years ago, the Senate Blue Ribbon committee controlled by the Liberal Party conducted a “moro-moro” of an inquiry into the project. Without any fear, I stepped into the lions’ den. I knew I was right. But the Blue Ribbon committee chaired by then Senator TG Guingona didn’t allow me to present my evidence. I had evidence of many irregularities.

There was supposed to be a second hearing.

But the Liberal Party senators were afraid that given a second opportunity, I would demolish the lies peddled by Drilon and his cohorts.

The inquiry wasn’t wrapped up, even though I had submitted evidence through a memorandum to the committee. In it, I gave a detailed list of the anomalies and the evidence to prove them. The Liberal Party made sure the issue died a natural death in the Senate.

This time, I challenge Drilon.

Why don’t you ask the Blue Ribbon committee to reopen the case?

It’s your reputation that’s at stake.

Millions of Filipinos are now angry. Even the President of the Republic is angry at you.

If you committed no wrong, you should not be afraid.

Kon maisog ka (If you are brave), atubangon mo ang isyu (face the issue).
