Another view from a Bridge

This is the much-ballyhooed Esplanade in Iloilo City as viewed from the Carpenter Bridge in Molo. This is the reverse view of the previous post showing a squatter colony on the other side of the bridge.

  1. from this vantage point, you will see a sharp contrast to the “beauty” of the Esplanade with the squatter colony just by turning around 180 degrees.

i have read your comments regarding the problems that mayor mabilog is faced with. granted that all those problems are existing, but hey, which government is not faced with graft and corruption ? i am not endorsing the practice, but let us also look at the improvements that has been accomplished by Mayor mabilog. Why can’t we have a beautiful city and enjoy the beautification projects of the mayor while the rest of the politicos are doing whatever they are not supposed to be doing. you cant stop it and neither can they. In the meantime let the common people enjoy what they have, smell the flowers and enjoy a nice stroll at the esplanade with their family and friends. let us be thankful for whatever blessings we have, because it a rare pleasure to be able to walk on that beautiful park and not to watch your back
worried about snatchers, to watch your kids running , having fun, without cars zooming by and be in awe with how they transformed the former glory of the ILOILO RIVER. I don’t care who did it,
but i am thankful that the good mayor made it happen in his watch.
